  • Great Selection

As for a previous post, if smooth jazz is for nerds, then I am proud to be one. This is the only genre of music that I can listen to at work and actually get any work done. The music has a calming effect and helps me concentrate. My boss is also a smooth jazz fan so that helps. It is also great to listen to after a stressful day. The album has combined some great artists together.

I heard the song 'Total Experience' on CD101.9 (a former smooth jazz station in New York City area) many times and once CD101.9 became defunct in February 2008 I forgot the name of some of the songs I heard. Plus, I recently stepped into a bank called TD Bank (previously Commerce Bank) and heard the song 'The Total Experience' in the background. I'm glad I found it here.
  • Not Jazz

You guys have to distinguish real jazz from this smooth jazz stuff. Anyone who knows the history of jazz will tell you that smooth jazz is elevator music and for people who don't understand real jazz. In other words, smooth jazz is pop music.

  • OK background music

The only drawback to this genre of music is that it doesn't change. I started listening to David Sanborn in the mid-80's, and whenever I hear stuff like this it just all sounds the same.
  • HMMM.....

Cool music, but when it comes down to it, this stuff is for N-E-R-D-S!! lol.
